TUCSON - Another storm system on the way for Super Bowl weekend. Mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures returned this afternoon in the wake of a low pressure trough. After a few morning showers, temperatures were able to make it back up into the 70s under mostly sunny skies this afternoon with more of the same expected on Wednesday. Our next storm system approaches the state by the time we head into Super Bowl weekend. Showers will start to develop across the region late Thursday night, with the best chance of showers moving in on Friday and Saturday. Rainfall totals may be pretty significant with this system landing in the 0.50''-1.00" range for valley locations. Snow levels will likely drop between 6,000-7,000ft where 6-12" of snow may fall. Showers will begin to taper off Sunday morning. Most should be dry kick-off time on Super Bowl Sunday, with partly cloudy skies from Glendale to Tucson. Afternoon highs this weekend peak in the low 60's.
