TUCSON - The suspect who shot his gun during a college party Jan. 26 has turned himself in, Tucson Police Sgt. Maria Hawke said.
Da'Wan Grandville Lord, 20, was identified by police through the public's help as being the man who discharged his weapon in the air at The Standard apartments during a party, Hawke said. Police estimated about 1,000 people were at the party but none were hurt from the gunfire.
Lord contacted detectives on the case Feb. 20 through his lawyer and arranged to have him booked into Pima County Jail. Feb. 21, Hawke said.
Lord faces charges of discharging a firearm within city limits -- a class 6 felony.
