TUCSON- All of Southern Arizona is under a RED FLAG WARNING until 2pm Friday with the highest potential for wildfires from 2am to 11am. Chief Meteorologist Rob Guarino says it's an unusual event to have a high fire danger in the wee hours of the morning. Due to High pressure to the north in Colorado and a storm out west the pressure gradient will tighten and allow for winds over 40mph well in the mid morning hours.
The winds will quickly calm down after 2pm and we'll see a warm weekend with a falling pollen count Saturday and Sunday. Cooler weather returns with highs in the 80s most of next week.
