PHOENIX (AP) - An 18-year-old died and five other people - including three boys younger than 18 years old - were wounded in a drive-by shooting that erupted as a party in north Phoenix was breaking up.
Phoenix police say Jason Jonathan Acosta-Ramos died after a person in a vehicle fired into a crowd outside the party around 3:30 a.m. Sunday.
The party was a celebration of Acosta-Ramos' birthday.
Two 16-year-old boys who were shot were in extremely critical condition, while a 17-year-old and 18-year-old suffered life threatening injuries.
A 21-year-old man also was shot but his injuries aren't believed to be life-threatening.
No arrests have been made.
Investigators don't yet have a description of the vehicle that carried those responsible for the shooting.
The motive behind the shooting wasn't known.
