NOGALES - More than 12 pounds of meth were seized Sunday at the DeConcini Port, Border Protection officials said.
Oliver Cordova Santoyo, 26, was stopped trying to cross the border into the US when a drug-sniffing canine alerted agents to the presence of drugs, Border Protection and Customs enforcement spokeswoman Edith Serrano said in a release.
On further inspection, 10 packages, or about $194,000 worth, were found in the floorboard between the seats. The drugs and vehicle were processed for seizure. Cordova faces prosecution on drug charges.
