TUCSON - Thousands of people got up early Saturday morning to support stronger, healthier babies.
The March of Dimes "March for Babies" took place at Reid Park.
About 3,000 people joined the walk to raise awareness and money for babies born too sick or too early.
This year, the event raised $215,000.
News 4 Tucson was among the sponsors of the event.
The March of Dimes is celebrating 75 years of research and medical breakthroughs all aimed at healthy full term pregnancies and the elimination of birth defects.
