80's entering the new work week

TUCSON - The calendar says May, but this week's temps will feel more like April.

Daytime highs all week long will peak in the low to mid 80's, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. This is thanks to a slow-moving low pressure trough off the California coast, supplying Arizona with cooler temps and partly cloudy skies at times. Gusty winds around 20-25 MPH are possible this afternoon and tomorrow.

The trough passes through the state Friday, perhaps touching off a few isolated showers near the New Mexico state line. High pressure and 90 degree weather returns the second half of the upcoming weekend.

Overnight lows the next several nights drop to the upper 50's/low 60's.
