TUCSON - Monsoon got off to a great start this past weekend with scattered showers and storms for much of the region on Saturday and a few more on Sunday.
According to Meteorologist Matt Brode, the monsoon's great start will be short-lived.
Dewpoints at Tucson International airport have been steadily falling throughout the day.
The area of high pressure responsible for Saturday's storms is moving toward the East in response to a trough to our West.
A few isolated storms were trying to fire-up over portions of Cochise county, but they will lose their strength by sunset tonight.
We begin the workweek hot and dry; a pattern that should remain for much of the next several days.
There are a few indications suggesting that some more moisture could arrive by late in the week.
