TUCSON - There is a enough left over moisture to support a few light showers today before things start to heat back up.
As another impulse dips into the region there will be a few spotty showers across Southern Arizona through this afternoon. According to Meteorologist John Patrick, any accumulation should remain relatively light with gradual clearing expected from west to east later this evening.
Snow showers still possible in the higher elevations of Southern Arizona with a Winter Weather Advisory in effect until noon for areas above 4500 feet. The White Mountains of Graham and Greenlee County are under a Winter Storm Warning until 4pm this evening.
Temperatures will remain well below average this afternoon for early March standards as highs struggle to reach the mid 50s. Sunday looks like the better day of the weekend with highs rebounding into the low 60s under mostly sunny skies.
A strong ridge of high pressure will build in for the upcoming work week leading to a sharp rise in temperature. We'll climb from the 50s and 60s this weekend to near 90 as soon as midweek.
