A monsoon shutdown

TUCSON - Aside from a few lingering showers, most of our monsoon moisture is moving out of the region.

Temperatures are again several degrees cooler than average with the warmest deserts only reaching 90.

Dry and warmer conditions will return over the weekend with temperatures climbing back into the mid 90s for highs under mostly sunny skies. Sunday brings a slight chance of storms to areas south and east of Tucson.

Better storm chances return to the region by early next week.
