Amber Alert issued for abducted Coolidge boy

PINAL COUNTY - Authorities issued an Amber Alert for a 2-year-old boy abducted by his baby sitter Tuesday night.

According to the alert, Eric Warrior Smith Jr. was taken from Coolidge by 19-year-old Anna Marie Johnson. The alert was issued at about 11:40 p.m. According to the Gila River Police Department, Smith's parents reported his abduction at about 7 p.m. The parents told police Johnson is their son's baby sitter. It's unclear what led to the abduction or which direction the two were headed.

Smith is Native American, 2 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 65 pounds. He has black, medium-length hair and brown eyes. Smith was last seen wearing a diaper. He is also asthmatic and has a speech impediment. Johnson is Native American, 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. She has long, black hair and brown eyes. According to the alert, she uses drugs and alcohol.

Johnson is driving a light blue, 2006 Dodge Caravan with the Arizona license plate AVZ7449.
