Animal advocate dies from lung cancer

TUCSON - A long time animal advocate in Southern Arizona has died.

Judy Glore, the founder of HEART of Tucson, passed away from lung cancer this weekend.

Her organization rescues neglected, abandoned and abused horses that might otherwise end up at auction houses or slaughter houses.

She took care of them and helped them find good homes.

Glore also worked to educate the public about what it takes to own a horse.

She worked tirelessly to stop the cycle of animal abuse.
