TUCSON - More "nonsoon" than "monsoon" this afternoon.
Dew points remain elevated but warm air aloft and weak steering winds keep storms the isolated variety, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Areas east of Tucson will see the best chance of isolated storms today. Perhaps a slight uptick in isolated storm development is on tap tomorrow.
Best chance of scattered storms this week occurs late tomorrow night through Thursday, triggered by a mid-level disturbance. It's possible a few storms may produce flash flooding & damaging winds. Storm coverage decreases Friday into early next week.
