TUCSON - Tucson residents will have the chance to take a free, comprehensive stroke assessment this weekend at a number of hospitals around town.
The American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association have teamed up with seven local hospitals to provide the exams from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 12.
All StrokeCheck stroke screenings will include:
• Counseling by Physicians, Nurse Practitioners and a Registered Dietitian
• Educational Materials
• Heart Healthy Refreshments
• Copies of Screening Results That You Can Take to Your Personal Physician
• Blood Pressure Checks
• Body Mass Index (BMI)
• Pulse Check
Below are the locations of the area hospitals where StrokeCheck exams will be available:
-St. Joseph's Hospital, 350 N. Wilmot Rd.
-Tucson Medical Center, 5301 E. Grant Rd.
-Northwest Medical Center, 6200 N. La Cholla Blvd.
-Oro Valley Hospital, 1551 E. Tangerine Rd., Oro Valley
-St. Mary's Hospital, 1601 W. St. Mary's Rd.
-University of Arizona Medical Center, 1501 N. Campbell Ave.
-University of Arizona - South Campus, 1140 N Colombo Ave, Sierra Vista
