TUCSON - Arizonans are encouraged to go local this week.
Dozens of locally-owned businesses are participating in "Independents Week".
It's a campaign to shine the spotlight on locally-owned, independent businesses across Arizona.
Residents can get a 20% discount at participating businesses through July 7th.
Organizers say shoppers circulate money back into the Tucson economy, create more jobs and more tax revenues for our community and the state when they buy local.
Tucson City Council Member Karin Uhlich along with other business leaders will hold a press conference Monday to talk more about this effort.
