TUCSON - Arizona wide receiver Austin Hill has been added to a preseason national watch list for the third time. The University of Arizona announced Friday Hill is on the watch list for the Walter Camp Award, given annually to the most outstanding player in college football.
Hill had previously been added to the preseason watch lists for the Maxwell Award, given to the college football player of the year, and the Biletnikoff Award, which is handed to the top receiver in the country.
Hill's resume includes 102 career receptions for 1,675 yards and 13 touchdowns. He was forced to redshirt his junior season due to a knee injury, but has high expectations for the 2014 campaign. In 2012 Hill was a semifinalist for the Biletnikoff Award, earning All-Pac-12 Second Team honors to go with his Phil Steele Fourth-Team All-America selection. His 81 catches, 1,364 yards and 11 touchdowns paced the Wildcats that season.
Arizona opens its 2014 campaign on Friday, August 29th at home against UNLV.
