ORO VALLEY- A barricaded man surrendered after a two-hour standoff Sunday morning.
According to Lt. Kara Riley with the Oro Valley Police Department, 34-year-old Angel Ruperto Canava was involved in a family fight at a home in the 600 block of East Strada Patania, near North 1st Avenue and East Naranja Road.
Riley said family members were able to escape the home when the fight began around 5:30 a.m., but Canava returned to the home and barricaded himself.
The Pima County Regional SWAT Team responded to the scene to assist Oro Valley Police and took Canava into custody.
Canava was taken to the Pima County Adult Detention Center and booked on Domestic Violence charges.
