WASHINGTON - Vice President Joe Biden is worried that Democratic lawmakers will buckle to political pressures when it comes to gun control.
At their annual retreat, Biden told them that the world is a different place. He says, a ban on assault weapons is critical.
Back in 1994, an assault-weapons ban passed by Congress was blamed for costing Democrats control of the House and Senate.
Many think the National Rifle Association is powerful enough to make lawmakers back down from a ban.
