TUCSON - The hit & miss variety of the Monsoon is back in action today.
High pressure parked over the Arizona/New Mexico border supplies triple digit temps and isolated storms, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Storms should develop in the mountains by late morning, with a few drifting into the valley floors after the lunch hour. Most storms end by 9-10 PM.
Today's forecast high of 105° is the 8th straight day of temperatures reaching at least 105° & is running 6-8° above average.
Isolated storms should continue through Thursday. Models hint at a developing tropical disturbance in the eastern Pacific heading into the weekend. This may send a surge of moisture up the Gulf of Calfornia and bring a better chance of storms as early as Friday.
