Blowing dust to rain to mountain snow

TUCSON - A very wet and mild winter storm is headed toward California on Friday and to Arizona by Saturday. Ahead of this storm gusty winds will pick-up by midday Friday. Blowing dust could be present along I-10 between Tucson and Phoenix as winds gust to 35 mph.

By Saturday, the storm enters Arizona and the rain begins. It will remain breezy, but the rain should end the dust concerns. Anywhere from 0.25"- 0.75" of rain is likely between Saturday and Sunday. Tucson and points north see the most rain while Cochise and Santa Cruz Counties see less.

Above 7000' snow will fly and Winter Storm Watches are posted for the mountaintops. The White Mountains could see a foot and a half of snow while up to a foot is possible in the Catalinas.
