TUCSON - To nobody's surprise, Monsoon 2014 starts on a dry note.
A cold front passing through the Great Basin cranks up the Sonoran Wind Machine this afternoon, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Expect west-southwest winds up to 25 MPH today, as Tucson reaches the 100's for the 23rd time this year.
Breezes remain elevated through mid-week, calming down by Thursday. High temps drop below triple digit territory for the first time since May 29th on Thursday as well.
Summer officially starts Saturday at 3:51 AM. Tucson returns to 100° heat heading into the weekend.
