Body found on SW side is identified

TUCSON - The Pima County Sheriff's department has identified the body found on the southwest side as 22-year-old Fabian Maldonado-Leon.

News 4 Tucson's Crime Trackers confirmed he had been kidnapped the night before from a Southside apartment complex. The Sheriff's Department says it could be drug related.

They say they are looking for a
• Hispanic Male
• Mid 30's
• 180 - 200 pounds
• Dark hair and a mustache
• Wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and white sneakers.

Monday morning, a passerby found Leon's body near Snyder Hill and San Joaquin Road.
Sheriff's homicide detectives say his body had obvious signs of trauma, but still no word on the cause of death.

Friends of Leon tell News 4 Tucson's Crime Trackers, he was a fun guy who loved his family, especially his wife and son.
