TUCSON - Red Flag Warning continues until 8pm this evening.
Southern Arizona saw wind gusts up to 40mph this afternoon which ushered in some dry air for high danger. Winds will calm down into this evening but are expected to pick back up again tomorrow afternoon.
Tucson topped out at 102 degrees this afternoon and will see similar forecast high for Father's Day. Mostly sunny skies with gusts from 30-35mph will round out the weekend.
With the monsoon officially beginning tomorrow, deep moisture has retreated into northern Sonora and that's where it will stay for the next couple of days. Enough moisture may creep back up near the international border by Tuesday afternoon for a couple of isolated mountain storms.
