PHOENIX (AP) - State government buildings' flags will remain at half-staff until sunset of July 19 under an extension ordered by Gov. Jan Brewer.
Brewer on Monday ordered that the flags be flown at half-staff through sunset Wednesday in honor of the 19 firefighters killed by the Yarnell wildfire.
She says she's now extending her order so that the tribute lasts 19 days -- one day for each fallen firefighter from the Hotshots crew based in Prescott.
Brewer says Arizonans need to honor the men and show support for their families, friends and other firefighters.
