Brief break from the Sonoran Wind Machine today

TUCSON - One more day of calm winds across the Sonoran Desert.

Under mostly sunny skies, highs reach the upper 70's this afternoon, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Winds today will be out of the west at 10-15 MPH, decreasing to 5-10 MPH this evening.

A cold front situated over Utah and Nevada drops into the state tomorrow, bringing increased wind speeds. Gusts to 30 MPH are possible Wednesday and Thursday, with high temps peaking in the mid 70's.

Winds calm back down again by Friday & the upcoming weekend.
