Cause of deadly Sierra Vista accident released

SIERRA VISTA - Investigators say speed and alcohol were major factors in a deadly rollover accident in Sierra Vista on February 17.

Jeremiah Marshall and Karen Peercy died. Marshall's 6-year old daughter was the only survivor.

Investigators say Marshall lost control of his 1993 Chevy S10 Blazer on Canyon Drive. He was going more than 70 mph. The posted speed limit is 25 mph. The car ran off the road, rolled over at least twice before hitting a large rock, sending it airborne into a utility pole.

Peercy and Marshall's daughter were both ejected. Investigators say they weren't wearing seatbelts.
