Circle K robbed: one suspect arrested and one still at large

SIERRA VISTA - Detectives are looking for a second suspect who robbed a Circle K early Wednesday.

Police say two men wearing clothing to hide their identities entered the Circle K at 97 North Garden Ave. and robbed a clerk at gun point.

The suspects fled and the clerk called 911 saying that the suspects went near Westwood Village Apartments.

An officer in the area responding to the call saw a silver van leaving the area. When the officer attempted to make a traffic stop, the van fled, and the van soon turned into a dead end when two people got out and ran away.

Police say evidence found in the van linked the occupants to the robbery.

Further investigation into the owner of the van led detectives to identify Brandon Kane, 26, as a suspect.

Detectives located Kane near the Westwood Village Apartments around 9:45 a.m. Kane ran away when detectives approached, but was captured after a short chase.

Police say Kane was carrying evidence linking him to the robbery and he was arrested and charged with robbery, armed robbery, aggravated robbery, kidnapping and aggravated assault. He was booked into the Cochise County Jail.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Mary Chatham at 520-452-7500.
