TUCSON - Morning rain likely leads to a down day for the Monsoon.
As showers continue to diminish, so will the thunder threat for later today, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Only isolated storms are on tap this afternoon through the overnight hours. Daytime highs peak in the low to mid 90's metro-wide.
Tomorrow looks to be the most active day for the Monsoon this week, with scattered storms possible. A Pacific trough pulls in drier air from the west by mid week, eliminating the thunder threat for the valley floors.
Isolated storms & the 100's return heading into the weekend.
