Cloudy, warm to wrap the week

TUCSON - Plenty of clouds, but little weather worries.

Low pressure off the California coast keeps mostly cloudy skies in place over southern Arizona today, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Daytime highs peak in the mid to upper 70's across the Tucson metro, with cloud cover breaking up during the overnight hours.

Perfect weather is expected for tomorrow's El Tour de Tucson. Temperatures will be in the 50's for the race start with southeast winds around 5-10 MPH. Winds remain around 5-10 MPH out of the west-northwest Saturday afternoon, as highs reach the upper 70's under partly cloudy skies.

High pressure builds over the Rockies next week, steering the California storm system north of Arizona. The net effect starting Monday is more sunshine and highs in the mid to upper 70's. Travel across the southwest next Wednesday shouldn't be impacted by Mother Nature & Thanksgiving looks like a dandy for the Old Pueblo.
