FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) - Gov. Jan Brewer's proposal to expand Arizona's Medicaid program under the federal health care law is drawing support from officials of some Arizona counties.
In Flagstaff, the Coconino County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday approved a resolution backing the proposed expansion.
In Prescott, the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors approved a similar resolution on Monday.
The expansion is subject to approval by the Arizona Legislature where many majority Republicans oppose it.
