TUCSON - One more chilly day before the big warm-up.
Tucson dropped to an official low of 33 degrees this morning, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. It remains cool this afternoon under sunny skies, as high temps stay 10-12 degrees below average for late January. Lows tonight won't be as cold with spots south and east of the metro dropping to the freezing mark.
High pressure builds in from the Pacific, bringing much warmer temperatures starting tomorrow. Heading into Super Bowl weekend, high temps in Tucson top out in the mid 70's. Cloud cover slightly increases through early next week but expect more sun than clouds.
