PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) - Hundreds of people in the Florida panhandle have had to be rescued from homes and cars, after parts of the region saw between 15 and 20 inches of rain. Gov. Rick Scott says officials received about 300 requests for evacuations from flooded areas in Pensacola, and more than 200 of those rescues have been completed. The Florida National Guard is sending 24 high-water vehicles to the area to help with other rescues.
