TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a Tucson man has been fatally shot outside a grocery store in the city's midtown area.

Tucson police say officers responded to a 911 call about shots fired at the Northgate Shopping Center just before 4 a.m. Wednesday.

They reported finding 25-year-old Ricky Lomax dead just inside the door of the Walmart Neighborhood Market.

Witnesses say the victim was unarmed and had a confrontation with at least two men outside the store entrance.

Multiple shots were fired and Lomax walked into the Walmart, collapsed and died.

Police are looking for a specific vehicle seen leaving the area immediately after the shooting.

They say homicide investigators and the department's gang unit are working the case.
