Deputies seek couple who robbed northwest side Walmart

TUCSON - Deputies with the Pima County Sheriff's Department are seeking a couple wanted in a robbery of a Walmart on Ruthrauff.

According to a release sent by deputies, the couple entered the Walmart Neighbor Market in the 2100 block of West Ruthrauff Road on Aug. 25 and stole merchandise.

Here's surveillance video of the suspect in the makeup aisle at the Walmart:

A view from a camera outside shows the male suspect. Deputies say he shoved the loss prevention officer and verbally harassed him.

The store's loss prevention officer saw the woman putting items from the cosmetics aisle into her purse, Sheriff's spokesman Deputy Tracy Suitt said.

The man joined the woman after and walked to the register, where they purchased some items but not the ones she put in her purse, according to Suitt.

The couple then attempted to walk away but were stopped by the loss prevention officer, the release detailed.

The man shoved the employee and told the woman to run. Suitt said the suspect then verbally harassed the loss prevention officer and got away.

The female is described as:

  • 5'06" tall and heavyset
  • Red hair
  • Wearing a white shirt and dark pants

The male is described as:

  • 5'10" tall and heavyset
  • Dark hair
  • Wearing a black shirt and black shorts with white stripes on the side

The Sheriff's Department is trying to locate and identify the subjects involved in this robbery. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME.
