TUCSON- A Pima County Sheriff's Deputy fatally shot a man Saturday night, after the suspect shot the deputy inside a northwest Circle K.
Pima County Sheriff's Deputy Tracy Suitt says Deputy Jesus Davila responded to the Circle K at 4395 N. Romero Road just before 11 p.m. for a suspicious person with a firearm.
Once inside the store, Deputy Davila encountered 41-year-old Alvin McBride.
During the course of the investigation, a struggle started between Deputy Davila and McBride.
Deputy Suitt says McBride pulled out a gun and shot Deputy Davila in the leg.
According to Deputy Suitt, Deputy Davila was able to draw his service weapon and shoot McBride.
McBride was prounced dead at the scene.
Deputy Davila was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
He has been with the Sheriff's Department since October 2007.
