TUCSON - One of the two suspects wanted for a murder in November was already in jail when detectives found him.
Tucson Police say Shane Blevins, 36, and John Grayling Agee, 52, killed 44-year-old Owen Mcnutt in November. Mcnutt was assaulted and robbed of his belongings and dumped in the running Santa Cruz wash, Tucson Police spokesman Sgt. Chris Widmer said.
An autopsy revealed Mcnutt died from blunt force trauma.
Three men were homeless and were living in the area of Riverside Drive and West St. Mary's Road. Police say Blevins and Agee lured Mcnutt into the wash before beating him to death, Widmer said.
Blevins was already booked into Pima County Jail on other charges when detectives located him on Feb. 18. Agee was located on Feb. 20 and arrested. Both men are charged with first degree murder, armed robbery and aggravated robbery.
