TUCSON - Many of us believe we're too busy these days. We have way too much to do and not enough hands to get it all done.

If you feel that way you should meet Jessica Cox.

Jessica is a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, a graduate of the University of Arizona, a surfer and the world's first certified pilot without arms.

Now 30-years-old Jessica earns a living as a Motivational Speaker but her primary passion is fighting for kids with disabilities. Two roles that go hand in hand. "I guess you could say they go foot in foot," said Jessica with a chuckle.

Jessica has traveled to 18 countries, sharing her story and inspiring others. In April she'll fly to Ethiopia where Jessica says many people still believe those born with disabilities are cursed. Jessica hopes to shatter that myth. "Letting them know, and their family, and community, know that they're going to be ok," said Jessica.

On one motivational trip to Ghana Jessica met a woman by the name of Louisa who was also born without arms. Louisa told Jessica her parents thought about abandoning her. But a family friend convinced Louisa's parents to raise their armless daughter in hiding. "And Louisa's now a school teacher having this huge impact on the lives of so many children but if she wasn't even given the opportunity to live she wouldn't have been able to make that impact," Jessica said.

Impacting others with disabilities is why Jessica travels the world.

A film crew will join her in Ethiopia. They're producing a documentary on Jessica's inspirational life. It's called "Right Footed." Jessica hopes the documentary will help her reach more people, "To let other people realize that if you're given a chance, even if you have a disability, you never know what's possible. But you first have to be given that opportunity and that chance," Jessica said.

Jessica Cox and her film crew plan to be in Ethiopia by Apri 1st. But they need financial help to get there. They've set a goal to raise $30,000.00 to cover the cost of the trip.
