TUCSON - Gusty winds and a high fire danger through the overnight hours.
A cold front brings 20 MPH wind gusts this afternoon, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Winds increase to 30 MPH overnight as the front passes by. All of southeastern Arizona is under a Red Flag Warning from 2 PM today through 2 PM Friday. Outdoor burning is not recommended the next 24 hours.
Under sunny skies, daytime highs range from the low 90's today to mid 80's Friday. Calmer winds prevail after lunchtime tomorrow.
A second storm system brings gusty winds, partly cloudy skies and cooler temps early next week. Wind gusts to 20 MPH are possible Sunday and Monday with highs once again dropping to the mid/upper 80's. At the moment, any rain chance appears to be confined to the northern portion of Arizona.
