YUMA - An Arizona Department of Public Safety officer was killed on Interstate 8.
DPS spokesman Bart Graves says Officer Tim Huffman had been responding to a collision when he was rear-ended by a tanker-truck while sitting in his patrol car.
It happened about 65 miles east of Yuma. According to Graves, Huffman is a 14-year DPS veteran.
We're told the driver of the tanker-truck and truck company are being cooperative with investigators but no word as of yet if the driver will be charged.
