SOUTH TUCSON - A man died Saturday after a driver intentionally ran him over.
According to South Tucson Police, it happened around 7:45am, in the area of 5th Avenue and 31st Street.
Officers responded to a report of a man struck by a car.
They found a 43-year-old man lying in an alleyway suffering from life threatening injuries.
He was taken to a local hospital where he died.
The South Tucson Detective Unit investigated and determined that the victim was being chased and intentionally struck by a vehicle before it fled the scene.
The suspect vehicle is described as a small, possibly foreign-made Silver 4 door sedan. It may have been occupied by only one subject. The vehicle sustained substantial damage to both the left front and left rear.
It appears that this incident covered several blocks and there may be additional witnesses, whom have yet to come forward.
The name of the victim will not be released until next of kin have been notified.
Anyone with information related to this incident are urged to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
A cash reward of up to $1,000 is offered for information leading to an arrest or indictment of the person involved.
