TUCSON - A much quieter weather day in store for the Sonoran Desert.
Drier air limits storms mainly to the higher terrain this afternoon, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. While a stray shower can't be ruled out for Tucson, most of the area stays dry.
Daytime highs reach the low 90's in Tucson, running 3-5° below average for late August.
An increase in moisture may bring a better chance of isolated storms tomorrow, ahead of a low pressure trough moving across the state. Drier air returns for the weekend, shutting down valley storm chances.
