TUCSON - Some big time heat for Black Friday.
High pressure over the California coast provides temperatures 10-15 degrees above average this afternoon, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Tucson tops out in the mid 80's today, with mid to upper 70's expected in Cochise and Santa Cruz Counties under sunny skies. Winds today will be out of the east at 10-15 MPH.
Plan on a warm tailgate for the Arizona/Arizona State game, but by kickoff we'll see temps slide into the 60's.
Warm weather continues through the holiday weekend, as many Tucson metro areas peak in the upper 70's to low 80's. Overnight lows Saturday and Sunday dip at or near 50 degrees with clear skies.
A slight cool down greets you early next week, as a trough passes north of Arizona. Temperatures will drop to the mid 70's by Tuesday, which remains a good 6-8 degrees above late November normals.
