Fans flock to Kino Stadium for Mexican Baseball

TUCSON - Over the last few weeks, over 30,000 fans turned out to Southern Arizona to see the "Vamos a Tucson" Mexican Fiesta-- a series of games featuring Mexican Pro Baseball teams.

The Hermosillo Naranjeros, Obregon Yaquis, and Culiacan Tomateros all came to play at Kino Memorial Stadium.

News 4 also featured a number or U.S.-born, American athletes that suit up for these teams in "winter ball," including popular Tucson Padre Daniel Robertson and other current and former major leaguers.

The video includes footage of the thousands of fans that turned out to Kino Memorial Stadium over the weekend of October 5th.

The festivities of the game included "Banda music" being played live on the dugouts and in between innings, fan participation with dancing in the crowd and with the popular mascots "El Chacho" of the Yaquis and "Beto the Coyote" of the Naranjeros, etc.

It's certainly a fan favorite for Tucsonans and baseball fans, and one of the few times you'll see Kino Memorial Stadium packed. The video also includes more interviews with fans and players from both teams.
