TUCSON - As of 3 p.m., Tucson has reached 81 degrees, which is just shy of tying the record of 82 set back in 1987.
Gusty winds are beginning to increase and will usher in a cooler and less stable air-mass tomorrow and into the weekend.
A wind advisory goes active for Cochise County tomorrow from noon until 7 p.m. Winds could gust to 45 mph and blowing dust is possible especially along I-10 between Willcox and the New Mexico border, and along Highway 191 between Pearce and Douglas.
Cooler temperatures will be carried in by the wind. Highs will be 10 degrees cooler on Friday and as much as 15 degrees cooler than Thursday by the weekend.
Skies will be mostly cloudy beginning on Friday with a slight chance of a mountain shower mainly North of Tucson. Monday brings the best chance of some much needed rain for Tucson.
