TUCSON - Northwest Fire crews put out a fire at Flowing Wells Library Wednesday night.
Somebody passing by noticed smoke and called 911 around 9:30 p.m.
The fire was near the main entrance. Firefighters had to cut through the roof and walls to make sure it was extinguished.
There is no fire or water damage to any of the books inside, but the building was full of smoke, according to Capt. Adam Goldberg.
Goldberg did not know if the library would be open Thursday morning.
The cause is under investigation.
