Firefighters respond to shed fire in Midtown

TUCSON- Tucson Fire responded to a shed fire in midtown Saturday afternoon, after several callers reported smoke in the area.

According to Capt. Chris Jurvig, units responded to the 3900 block of East Hayhurst Lane just after 3:30 p.m.

Firefighters found the shed engulfed in flames and a nearby workshop in danger of catching fire as well.

Jurvig says firefighters were able to stop the spread of the fire to the workshop and save over 20-thousand dollars in contents.

Damage to the shed is estimated at 5-thousand dollars.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
