TUCSON - The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for east central Pima County until 3:30 PM. This includes Tucson's southeast side, Vail, Corona de Tucson & Tanque Verde.
According to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish, a cluster of thunderstorms sitting over this area has produced over an inch of rain. Another inch of rain is possible, which will likely lead to flooding of Cienega Creek and the Pantano Wash.
Storm movement is to the north at only 5 MPH.
Other advisories in effect include a Flash Flood Warning for east central Cochise County until 3:00 PM and a Flood Advisory for central Pima County until 3:15 PM. Pima, Santa Cruz, Cochise & southern Pinal Counties are under a Flash Flood Watch until 8 PM. This means any storm that develops is capable of over an inch of rain.
