Flash Flood Watch for Tucson & southeastern Arizona until 9 PM

TUCSON - The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for southeastern Arizona from 11 AM until 9 PM today.

Locations include Metro Tucson, Sells, Oracle, Nogales, Sierra Vista, Douglas, Safford, Clifton & surrounding communities.

For the 2nd day in a row, conditions are favorable for widespread flooding and heavy rainfall to occur, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Scattered thunderstorms are starting to develop in the mountains and will arrive in the valley floors this afternoon and evening.

Some locations may see 1-2" rainfall in the next 12 hours. The thunder threat diminishes to the isolated variety after midnight.
