Flirting with 90's and record highs this week

TUCSON - A shift to "Instant Spring" after a cool weekend.

High pressure over the West Coast brings the heat this week, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Expect mostly sunny skies and highs in the low 70's this afternoon, with temps rising to the 80's tomorrow. Winds the next few days should be fairly light out of the north.

Temps ramp up even more by week's end, as Tucson looks threaten record highs Thursday and Friday. The first 90 degree day of 2013 looks likely Friday afternoon. If this occurs, it would be a month soon than normal as Tucson usually sees it first 90 degree day in mid-April. Sunshine and 80's win the forecast this weekend.
