TUCSON - Today Ron Barber announced he will run for the seat vacated last month by Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.
The former Gabrielle Giffords District Director pledged to continue Gabrielle Giffords' legacy.
"Our community needs someone who will put politics aside and solve problems for the people of Southern Arizona," Ron Barber said.
Ron Barber served as District Director for Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords from 2007 until she stepped down last month to focus on her recovery after being shot January 8th 2011.
Barber promises to focus on balancing the budget, by protecting Social Security and Medicare, creating jobs.
